December 14 at 10:28 AM · Yesterday Racing For Orphans delivered 40 cash gift cards to Orphaned Fostered and at risk children to the Live Oak, Florida location of the Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch. A few pictures of the festivities.

James Goodrich aka Rev Jim “not that kind of Reverend” of Racing For Orphans did it again. In 2017 he started his giving program to the children living at the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches. Each year he makes a deeper impact on the lives of children in need. Monday evening, he made the ride up to the most enjoyable place on earth, our Boys Ranch location. When he arrived, I gave him and Ray Walsh a driving tour of the accessible parts of the 3300 acres. We visited the Farm and talked about the 300 head of cattle and 50 horses. We talked about the youth managing every aspect of the farm. Shared were the school, gymnasium, arts/crafts, auto mechanics and maintenance, youth cottages, welcome center, airfield, Suwannee River, RV accommodations, staff quarters, pool, administrative building and best of all Elvis Presley building donated after the movie Follow That Dream. After the tour we joined the guests, staff and youth for our Cowboy Christmas. Aramark treated us to an outdoor steak dinner with all the fixings. During dinner we were treated to a reading of a play by some of the youth. The evening ended for Rev Jim and Ray presenting forty $125 gift cards for every youth living at this location. This is the first time Rev Jim expanded his reach to the Boys Ranch location. Each card was given with a condition that being the Youth can spend their gift anyway they wish. Jim, you did a GREAT thing, and I am so honored to be part of your journey. Thank you, Sir, and thanks to all who support your activities.
